Every foundation CRV Homes constructs was first designed by a professional engineer specific to your property. This standard practice at CRV Homes ensures a more reliable foundation for the years ahead. All foundations also come with a 10 YEAR WARRANTY!

Structural Integrity & External Sheathing

CRV Homes sets the standard and covers all exterior walls with 7/16" OSB Sheathing providing an abundance of added rigidity to the structure. Many Builders use a cardboard like material known as ThermoPly - don't be fooled. A full plywood wrap also reduces noise transfer.

Advanced framing, also known as optimum value engineering (OVE), is a system of construction framing techniques designed to optimize material usage and increase energy efficiency. CRV Homes utilizes these techniques where and when feasible and exceeds industry standards by using high quality No. 2 Grade Lumber.

Radiant Barrier Roof Decking

The original, #1 brand of radiant barrier sheathing, LP® TechShield® Radiant Barrier Sheathing reduces monthly cooling costs by blocking up to 97% of the radiant heat in the panel from emitting into a home’s attic, lowering attic temperatures by up to 30° F.

Plumber

PEX Plumbing (Grade "A")

PEX Piping (AKA the cross-linked polyethylene pipe) comes in 100 ft. flexible rolls which allows our plumbers to to complete installation with fewer joints and fittings. PEX has a lower freezing temperature, is expandable and provides cleaner water to your home than copper or CPVC.

Insulation

Lew Emissivity Windows

CRV Homes uses double pane, Low-"E" (Emissivity) windows with vinyl frames allowing the light in, but keeping the heat out. Our windows have a special coating that reflects infrared light and keeps heat inside during winter and outside in summer.

Heating and Cooling

CRV Homes installs 16 SEER (gas) Air Conditioning & Heat systems in all homes. This system includes the air handler, furnace, and condensing unit.

Roofing & Attic Ventilation 

Less than an inch in height, this molded, high-impact copolymer shingle-over ridge vent permits capping of the ridge with shingles like the rest of the roof. CertainTeed Ridge Vents are the most efficient and effective systems you can install. Works year-round to ventilate the attic. Provides evenly distributed ventilation along the entire underside of the roof.

LED Lighting

CRV Homes uses LED lighting to reduce energy usage, generate less heat and last at least 5X longer than conventional bulbs. In fact , in most fixtures there is no bulb at all so you will only very rarely be changing light bulbs.

Insulation Installation

Insulation 

CRV Homes uses blown-in fiberglass insulation (R-13 at exterior walls, R-30 above conditioned space) to help reduce your energy bills and maximize the energy efficiency of your home. It also makes your home more comfortable year round while reducing noises from outside and also inside. It aids in improving the performance of your air conditioner and protects against air and moisture infiltration for a healthier environment.

Roofing Shingles 

CRV Homes uses algae-resistant 30 Year Architectural shingles. These shingles are made with a blend of surface granules that includes numerous copper-containing granules. Copper possesses natural anti-algae properties, and the copper in the granules is gradually released over time to provide reliable, long-term protection from algae formation to help a roof maintain its true luster.
